Reviews and Ratings
We had a fantastic experience during our Cascade waterfall tour, thanks to our guide, Brandon, who was knowledgeable and friendly. The lodge is nestled in a beautiful park, making it a perfect family-friendly destination for outdoor adventures. However, the room we stayed in was quite dated and had some maintenance issues that detracted from our overall comfort. While the dining experience at the attached restaurant was passable, the service on a busy day left a lot to be desired.
Carter Caves Resort offers a beautiful natural setting and plenty of activities for families. While the rooms are clean and well-maintained, the service has noticeably suffered due to staff shortages, which affected dining hours and options. The park itself is lovely with great hiking trails and cave tours, but a bit more attention to detail would enhance the overall experience.
My stay at the lodge was quite enjoyable overall. The view from the room was stunning, overlooking a beautiful forested valley. The cleanliness was commendable, but a few minor repairs would enhance the stay. The breakfast options were somewhat limited, and the Wi-Fi was spotty, which was a bit disappointing. However, the park itself offered a wonderful escape with great hiking and cave exploring.
We had a fantastic experience at Carter Caves, especially enjoying Michael Griffin's illusionist show and the accompanying dinner buffet. The food was delicious, and the organization of the evening was top-notch. However, our stay at the lodge wasn't without its drawbacks—some areas felt dated and the beds were quite uncomfortable, which affected our overall rest. The location is excellent for those looking to explore nature, but a few updates would really enhance the experience.
I had a mixed experience at the Lodge. On the positive side, the room was clean and the rate was quite good for what I got, but I had a hard time enjoying my stay due to the noise from the upstairs room and management issues. It’s a budget-friendly option, but if you're looking for peace and quiet, it might be best to consider a different place.
